How hard a circuit works each corner of the car shows up as tread temperature, and temperature is what sets pressure. GripCalc carries corner heating figures for Imola as a starting point: how much hotter each tyre runs over the session's base temperature, from the layout's mix of corners and load. What Imola asks of a tyre
Imola runs anticlockwise, so the right side of the car takes the greater share of load, and its old-school character survives: chicanes with real kerbs, gradient through Acque Minerali, and grass and walls closer than modern venues allow. Kerb discipline and a stable right front make the lap.
